Lustre Tour

Join us on the journey of Mother of Pearl through the ages and across cultures. Discover the First Nations’ 20,000-year-old connection to pearl shell, how it was valued for trade and ceremony, and the incredible role that indigenous people played in building the modern shelling and pearling industries. Follow the trade routes and evolution of the unique Aboriginal art of Riji and see the works of today’s master pearl shell carvers.

Pearl Grading Class

Touch feel and sort a selection of our beautiful harvest as we guide you through the specialised skill of pearl grading. This is a rare and unique opportunity to follow the pearl’s journey post-harvest through to selection for jewellery production, in an intimate hands-on experience.

Our signature experience, immerse yourself in the story of the Australian Pearl at a working pearl farm. Witness a live pearl harvest as your guide reveals the secrets of pearl cultivation. Discover the virtues of a pearl and what makes Australian South Sea pearls so valuable, with the chance to purchase the pearl harvested on tour.

These exhilarating boat rides take you through the untouched wilderness of the Kimberley Coast and the beginnings of the thousand islands of the Buccaneer Archipelago. The tours differ depending on the tide so be sure to check our availability calendar to see what tours are running and when.
