What's included

Enjoy top-notch comfort while witnessing the picturesque landscape of this unique part of the world on one of Kimberley Outback Tours’ 4WD coaches.

This bus transfer includes pick up from your Broome hotel and return transfer to Broome. Trip to Cygnet Bay is approximately 2.5 hours from Broome.

Beagle Bay is one of three Aboriginal communities on the Dampier Peninsula north of Broome and an interesting part of Western Australian history.

A short 150-kilometre drive along the sealed road to Cape Leveque will deliver sights of the beautiful Beagle Bay Sacred Heart Church with its famous mother-of-pearl shell altar. This is one of the most beautiful churches in Australia.

Lombadina is an Aboriginal owned and operated community that offers visitors a unique opportunity to experience the Lombadina local way of life. Surrounded by some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, characterised by white sands and pristine turquoise waters, Lombadina is a tranquil oasis, a place to unwind and take in nature’s beauty.

Lustre Tour

Join us on the journey of Mother of Pearl through the ages and across cultures. Discover the First Nations’ 20,000-year-old connection to pearl shell, how it was valued for trade and ceremony, and the incredible role that indigenous people played in building the modern shelling and pearling industries. Follow the trade routes and evolution of the unique Aboriginal art of Riji and see the works of today’s master pearl shell carvers.

Pearl Grading Class

Touch feel and sort a selection of our beautiful harvest as we guide you through the specialised skill of pearl grading. This is a rare and unique opportunity to follow the pearl’s journey post-harvest through to selection for jewellery production, in an intimate hands-on experience.

Our signature experience, immerse yourself in the story of the Australian Pearl at a working pearl farm. Witness a live pearl harvest as your guide reveals the secrets of pearl cultivation. Discover the virtues of a pearl and what makes Australian South Sea pearls so valuable, with the chance to purchase the pearl harvested on tour.

These exhilarating boat rides take you through the untouched wilderness of the Kimberley Coast and the beginnings of the thousand islands of the Buccaneer Archipelago. The tours differ depending on the tide so be sure to check our availability calendar to see what tours are running and when.

Step onto the tour vessel departing from Cygent Bay Pearl Farm, with your local guide Rosanna Angus a proud Jawi woman whose family lived on Sunday Island during the early mission days. Experience the power of some of the world’s biggest tidal waters and learn how these massive tidal currents were used by the Jawi people to hunt, fish and trade. Share the story of the Tide Drifters as you retrace the ocean journey from Bardi Country on the mainland through the network of islands and tidal passages that make up Jawi Country.

Explore tranquil, unspoilt locations and learn about the cultural and environmental significance of this spectacular marine reserve.
