We thoroughly enjoyed our pearl farm tour. Terry was a wealth of knowledge and made the tour interesting and fun. The lady’s in reception were lovely, so helpful and friendly. We enjoyed a bowl of chips and cool drinks in cafe/restaurant to finish the day. Great value. Thank you.

We travelled to Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm for the day from Broome. We did the harvesting tour which went for an hour and cost around $40 each at the door. It was very interesting, starts with a conversation and video about the history of the Pearl Farm. Moves into a hands on experience, where the guide shows you how pearls are inserted and harvested. Here the difference between a natural and a cultured pearl is really highlighted too. Finally, you get to see some examples of all the different types of pearls that are harvested and sold. Overall I thought it was a great experience. Well worth just doing it yourself with a car, the road to get there is very accessible.

A path leads to a Pearler's Village Safari Tent glowing from within at dusk. At this time of the day you can see inside the tent, showing the comfortable king bed with two ambient lamps on either side of the bed, the door to the ensuite of the tent and the passage to the self countained kitchenette area as well. Behind the tent is a beautiful Kimberley sunset, with pink and purple hues, and surrounding the tent are native, tropical plants - creating serenity and calm for those staying in this accommodation.
